TELL US ABOUT YOURSELVES AND HOW YOU FELL IN LOVE.
We are Patrick and Ameena – we live in the DMV area with our 4 cats! We met in Los Angeles, and Patrick was Ameena’s boss (oops).
Why did you choose a destination wedding?
We chose a destination wedding for the beauty of Mexico, and for our family and friends to feel like they were having a vacation during our wedding.
What venue did you choose and what attracted you to it?
We chose UNICO 20 87 – it has everything guests could want, particularly including the delicious food!
Similarly, which wedding package did you choose and why?
We chose the 20 87 Experience – we appreciated everything that it included for the price and wanted an “elevated” experience.
What were some of the most important details to you?
Some of the most important details were the food and drinks/specialty drinks for our guests, the aesthetic of the events, and making sure our guests were taken care of at the hotel!
How many wedding guests did you have?
We had ~60 guests.
What were their favorite resort activities? What were yours?
Our guests reported that they enjoyed the nightclub each night, although Patrick and I love the arts and crafts!

Our favorite amenity (although we have many) is the 24/7 room service.

What was the best part about the planning process?
The best part about the planning process was envisioning all of the details coming together for us and our guests, and picturing everyone having a fun and beautiful time.
Describe your wedding day in 3-5 sentences.
Our wedding day felt like a perfect, effortless celebration. Everything flowed so smoothly, and there was such a sweet, loving atmosphere with all our friends and family. We had so much fun, and the day felt easy and full of joy. Before I knew it, the whole day had flown by in the blink of an eye, leaving me with so many beautiful memories.
What is your favorite memory from your big day?
My favorite memory (although again, we have many) was our vows.
